Seals Join Great West Summer Collegiate Baseball League

Baseball Equipment on Grass Field

The Great West League gives the Seals a great opportunity to play in a prestige league. The league is going into its 3rd year of operation and offers great competition with professional, minor-league like atmosphere. While running as an Independent team the last few years the Seals have played 16-18 home games in the summer and have traveled extensively throughout several states and internationally to play top competition from different Leagues. Some of the states include Colorado, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Alaska, Kansas, and internationally into Canada. By joining the Great West League it will allow us to continue to still travel and play a highly competitive schedule. It will also give us the benefit of playing 26-30 home games out of the newly renovated College of Alameda baseball field. This will give the community an opportunity to see these highly talented college athletes, who are the pros of the future, right here in the city of Alameda.
